Meet Team Hetterich

Callan Hetterich

  • First, getting married in September was a special event two years in the making. Alyssa and I are still enjoying memories and celebrating. Another highlight was having Abby, my sister and co-owner of Team Hetterich at my side as we helped 35 families find their new home, prepare for their sale or both. Finally, our family had some major health hurdles this year, and now we're extra thankful to have everyone together and healthy for the holidays.

  • We visited Uchi, a Japanese restaurant near Broadway and Lawrence St and had fantastic meals both trips.

  • Roughly 5 years ago we worked on a kitchen remodel. It's hard to imagine our day to day without that remodel. I also love my wood shop, especially around the holidays.

  • I've always admired the humble river otter.

  • Since adolescence I've always loved "The Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay.

  • This is the most difficult question by far. I was born and raised in Denver, so I consider myself a "city kid," even though Denver still feels relatively small. Denver has always felt like the perfect habitat for community, and the perfect launch point for adventures whether it's a Red Rocks concert, a quick ski trip, or a longer trip that begins at DIA.

  • Travel! After 2+ years of staying put to adhere to global COVID restrictions, my husband Shelby and I have been chomping at the bit to get back out into the world. In January we spent time in the Yucatan district of Mexico where we fell in love with a city named Merida. Then, in the spring we journeyed to Italy, and explored Rome, Siena and Florence with Mom and Dad. I rounded out the year with a trip to Nepal with Mom which was an experience of a lifetime!

  • There are so many... We'll probably need to do a blog post about this. Several that come to mind: Sushi Den, D' Corazon, Jovanina's Broken Italian, Humboldt, Illegal Pete's Park Hill, True Food Kitchen, the list goes on!!!

  • I could probably "live" without many things in the house but I love our record player. It's a really fun way for us to spend time together and brings joy to us like Alexa just can't. I've also grown really fond of my nest smart thermostat. I love that I can program a schedule for it and also let it run the heat/air so that we are being as eco friendly as possible

  • An elephant: Intelligent, compassionate, protective

  • How do you pick just one... anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge reader. My favorite from this year might be "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig.

  • The best part about living in Denver for me is being close to family. After having lived away for so many years, there's nothing like having the ability to spend time with our loved ones as much as we want to. Of course, there are so many other components of living here that we love: The vibe of the city is casual, progressive and friendly. There are so many great chefs and restaurants that there's always something new to check out. The music and art scene is robust, and we love having the mountains close for a peaceful escape when we can make one!

Dublin Britterich

Chief Cuddling Officer

  • My stuffed trout named Joe Pesce. He's very durable and has proven himself a great companion. If anyone has a dog who rips up toys like it's their job, let me know and we'll get you the info on this one.

  • My perfect day would start with breakfast with mom and dad, perhaps a soft boiled egg on top of my kibble, if they are feeling generous. Then, we would take a big walk with a ball throwing session or even better, a hike in the mountains with a swim in a lake! After that, we would head over to Grandma’s (Lynn’s) house for a long nap. Then mom will inevitably wake me up at the best part of my dream, but she will make up for it on the drive home by letting me sit in the front seat of the car with my sunglasses on. I’d wrap up the day with dinner and then maybe play time with my cousin Forest finished off by snuggles in bed.

  • Chief Quality Control Officer for a treat company

  • I would really like to be able to grow to be as tall as my humans so I can get up to their level for hugs and kisses.

  • Rolling around in the grass and bringing it all inside for the humans to clean up.

  • Eat as much cheese and bacon as they want!

Forest Hetterich

Director of Snacks

  • I am fascinated by new toys, but mostly like whatever toy is in my sister or cousin’s mouth.

  • Lead greeter at Target

  • I always want more time with my sister and cousin, so my superpower would be initiating play dates with them at will.

  • My humans keep telling me I’m not allowed in the kitchen, but I will continue to put on an Oscar-worthy performance and play innocent while I saunter through.

  • Hug. All I want to do is stand up and give hugs. I’ve got the height for it but societal norms keep getting in the way.

  • Stare out the window with puppy eyes.
